Our first update of the new year, and a little later than originally planned - but there's more to show so all is good.
Today we're releasing a few new features and updates to the platform, the first is the new My Games section. This shows all of your games - across all linked platforms, Xbox/Steam/etc.
Use this to browse through your games to remenisce on your 100% completions, and pick games to pick up and get completed to 100%.
The list view includes summary info based on your progress vs the achievement guide and highlights any missables, glitched/unobtainable achievements, multiplayer, etc so you can quickly see what is required to get a game completed.
You may spot in the screenshot above that Starfield is flagged as "Story complete" - this uses new flags against achievements to signify which achievement(s) in a game mark completion of the game's story.
As this is a new flag, it will take some time to update all the achievement guides to reflect this new information - so until that has happened the "Story complete" status won't feature anywhere else across Acheev yet.
Once there's more coverage across games, then the "Story complete" status will appear alongside 100% Completions and Blue completions in public showcase pages and inline when using game achievement guides.
Alongside the above, we've added another new flag for guides; "Story mode" to describe what kind of story or progression structure a game has.
Games can be tagged as being Story/campaign-based, Sandbox, Skirmish or Casual.
More information on what each kind means is in the Definitions page in the docs - but the short version is that Story/campaign type games are regular story-based games (e.g. Red Dead Redemption, Tomb Raider), Sandbox better describes the city builders and similar. Skirmish games are smaller sandboxes where multiple matches would be expected to full experience the game - and casual describes games made of many short matches, like most multiplayer game modes.
The categorisation, once the game guides have been updated with the new tag, should make it easier to find the kind of game you want to play and helps better understand the achievement difficulty overall for the game.
The last few weeks have also seen a stream of fix/improvement updates across the app, including these...
