A Short Hike is adamgryu's wholesome low-poly exploration game. You're Claire, a bird visiting your aunt Alma at Hawk Peak Provincial Park, trying to climb to the summit to get phone signal. It's built around gliding and climbing, collecting golden feathers that extend your stamina, and chatting to the park's animals. No fail states, no combat and nothing permanently missable - a pure sandbox you can freely re-explore, which makes 100% low-stress.

Full completion is short and very easy - roughly 2-3 hours, with no real skill barrier beyond two minor timed challenges. The set breaks into three groups: the story pair (Hawk Peak then The End); the collect-all set - feathers (Feather Finder, Feathers Forever), fish (The Fish Are Biting Today), sprouts (Green Thumb), the parkour races (Parkour Master) and the timed Not A Scratch boat run; and four quirky secrets (Photo Friends, Crispy, Only You Can Prevent Campfires, Remember This Day Forever).

Recommended: play the story naturally, grabbing every golden feather you pass (you only need about 7 to reach the top, so extras are free progress). Before the final summit push, lend the fox 6 feathers so Photo Friends is ready at the top. Then mop up the do-all sets and the two setup secrets (Crispy needs the system clock set past 5 PM) in free-roam - nothing's lost by leaving it all until after the credits.

Hawk Peak

The main goal. Climb and glide to the summit of Hawk Peak - you need about 7 golden feathers' worth of stamina for the cold final ascent, and the game funnels you there. Reaching the top triggers the phone call.

Feather Finder

Collect any 10 of the 20 golden feathers. They're found lying around, given by characters, or bought from the blue-bird vendor near the beach - it pops the moment your total hits 10, so it comes naturally on the way up.

A real-time-clock gag. Read the sign near the Visitor Centre campfire, set your system clock to just after 5 PM, then talk to the goat ranger there - she offers "Strawberries and Toast". Eat the toast from your inventory.
