S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl
Achievement guide · roadmap · tracker
The most anticipated game of 2024 is here, and its hardcore. A worthy sequel and successor to the original Stalker, albeit with a few bugs and some hefty hardware requirements!
The achievement list is solid, and fairly typical for a story-driven open world single-player adventure - there's a set of story-related unmissable achievements, some grinds, some objectives tied to various side-missions, and a few different endings with mutually-exclusive achievements for each.
But there are a fair few missable achievements tied to side quests, such as Your move! and
The good ol' days; so whenever you get access to new side quests check the guide here to make sure you don't miss them.
And then there's multiple endings to the story, with different - mutually-exclusive - achievements for each. The point of no return is during the story mission "Subtle Matter" - make a hard save before entering the pod. The game won't tell you this, so be mindful. Choices made after this point will start to affect which endings are available. Also note there is no free-play after the ending!).
There's also some reports of glitches on some achievements - e.g. Baptism by fire - and its not yet clear whether the first patches will fix this or not. So be careful, and keep saves handy.
Good hunting!
Alas poor Yorick
LegendaryKill Scar.
All quiet in the Zone
LegendaryKill Korshunov.
Apple-shot
LegendaryThree precise shots at apples spared stalker lives and helped you win a twisted bandit's game.
In the "Bullseye" side-mission given by Beard in Shevchenko (Zaton region).
Get to the bandit camp and stay peaceful - you can choose to participate in their show to shoot the apples.
Baptism by fire
LegendaryHelp Zalissya survive the Monolith attack. New generations of stalkers will have a place to stay.
Between the lines
LegendaryThe "Best reader" award. And reward.
Bingo
LegendaryExperience the effects of bleeding, sleep, hunger, alcohol, radiation and psi. Doesn't sound pretty.
Note you don't have to experience them all at the same time!
Also sleep (or rather, lack of...) is the hardest to get - so focus on this and avoid sleeping at all.
Was glitched until patch 1.1, released 19th Dec 2024.
BOOM!
Legendary20 enemies killed by blowing up the surroundings. Save on hand grenades and enjoy the fireworks.
Kill enemies by blowing up stuff around them; explosive barrels and such. This can be hard to do as explosions don't really do too much damage.
Take every opportunity you can through the game, especially where enemies are bunched up close together - and where you can damage them first so they're more likely to die from the blast.
Bouncy
LegendaryA successful jump from a 30-meter height. No parachute, though.
Brave new world
LegendaryKorshunov sacrificed himself so that humanity could have a new future, free of doubt and the Zone.
Can opener
LegendaryUse a knife to kill an enemy wearing an exoskeleton. Epic battle indeed.
Note this has to be a human enemy - zombies (which are technically already dead) don't count.
Catching up
LegendaryShoot an incoming grenade to make it explode. Nice view!
You can throw the grenade yourself for this and it still counts - so try throwing straight up into the air and shooting with an automatic rifle or a shotgun.
Clincher
Uncommon100 enemies shot in the head. Not bad for a head start…
Just headshots. Standard stuff. Aim for the head. Do it a lot. You know what to do. :)
Coupons to burn
LegendarySpend over 1,000,000 coupons. Myklukha and Sidorovich will fight hard over their favorite customer.
Collect/earn any and all coupons you can, and spend them with the traders. You'll want to spend a lot on upgrading your gear for Pump it up anyway.
Curiouser and curiouser!
LegendaryCollect all arch-artifacts. A priceless collection, arguably too weird, even by Zone standards.
There are seven unique arch-artifacts which can only be found in arch-anomalies. See the linked map for their locations; hit 'Hide all' then show "Arch Anomaly" under the Locations heading.
Note the Wandering Lights spawns only at night.
Doctor's oath
LegendaryThe mysterious Doctor had to reveal what he'd been hiding.
Eyes on the prize
RareRetrieve the stolen Scanner. Time to find out what is so special about it.
First touches
UncommonFirst equipment enhancement. Never the last, for most Zone folks.
Upgrade any weapon. Can be done easily at the technician in Zalissya early on.
Flash Royal
LegendaryGather all armor and gear enhancement flash drives.
There are flash drives in various stashes around the map. Clear every one you come across and mark them off in the linked map. Note the full list is not yet known - the map (and a checklist here) will be updated as soon as it is.
Good hunting, stalker
UncommonLeave the Lesser Zone to go Scanner-hunting. More miracles await, and more dangers, too.
Goodnight
LegendaryGet 20 covert kills. The Zone likes it quiet.
Get this naturally by enjoying stealth (knife kills from behind are probably easiest). Or it can be save scummed; save behind a single enemy, kill, reload, rinse & repeat.
Goss
UncommonJoin Stalkers for some campfire gossip.
This can be achieved very early on in the Zalissya Bar - some stalkers are outside sitting around a campfire. Just sit down next to them...
House of glass
RareWitness the temple of science get destroyed.
I see you have many questions
LegendaryMeet the C-Consciousness Representative. Didn't Strelok finish them off?
Keeping your hands steady
LegendaryShoot an enemy in the head, through an obstacle, having the intoxication effect.
Legends never die
LegendaryKill the Strelok.
Living legend
LegendaryMeet Strelok. How was it, talking to a living legend?
Lockpick
UncommonLure a mutant into an anomaly. Hardly a noble deed, but it gets the job done.
This will often happen by accident, and can happen quite early on (before even reaching Zalissya). Mutants will follow you when aggro'd, just get them to stupidly walk into an anomaly. Note kills this way don't count toward "Zone's deadliest predator".
Loner shooter
LegendaryShoot an enemy in the head from 75 meters. No scope-peeking!
Headshot, without aiming. This will be a bit hard because of the spread in most of the guns. Pick a slow moving enemy.
You can use the mini-map to mark the location so you can check the distance.
Merry-go-round
LegendaryDrop a corpse into the Whirlgig anomaly. A joy for someone who never got to ride the Ferris Wheel.
These are the tornado-looking anomalies, which can be found all over the world. A handy place early-on which you'll probably find naturally through following the story is North-East of Zalissya in front of the "Radiation Hazard Signs Storage" on the path.
There are enemies in the building nearby - kill them and grab a body. Bring it to the anomaly, use your bolt to trigger it and then as it starts to finish drop the body in it. Job done :)
How to get the Merry-go-round achievement
Miracle hoarder
LegendaryCollect all artifacts. What about arch-artifacts?
Monolith envoy
LegendaryYou know more than I do, envoy.
No obstacle too big…
LegendaryKill 50 enemies through obstacles. No one in the Zone is really safe.
On a leash
LegendaryThe Leash project experiments are finally over. Hopefully.
During the story mission "Dark Times" you'll be contacted by someone asking for help - accept this to start the "In the name of science" side mission. Make sure to complete this.
Later in the story you'll then be invited to the tunnel - make sure to choose to end the experiments.
One awkward step
LegendaryI am blind, but it's you who cannot see.
During the story mission "Once more unto the breach", choose to accept Faust's help.
On the Go
UncommonBread and sausage — Zone's most popular sandwich recipe.
Very easy at any point; both bread and sausages are common loot all over the place; just eat one, then the other immediately after. Either way round is fine. You can check this off very early in the game as soon as you've picked up one of each.
Peace and quiet
RareKill everyone in the camp before the alarm is set off. They couldn't see it coming!
This is in "a" camp, not "the" camp - i.e. any bandit camp should do. Reported success with one called "Sphere".
Be stealthy, or use enough range that they can't detect/find you before they're all dead.
Personal Approach
RareOne fight, four enemies, killed by different weapons. That trick would charm the hell out of Mavka!
In a single battle just kill four enemies with four different weapons. Clearly you need to have four different useful weapons first to attempt this, and re-equip mid-battle!
Project Y
LegendaryGo through with Kaimanov's initial plan.
Proxy
UncommonKill a squad that just finished off another squad and won the fight. Or so they thought…
This can be achieved without much effort through normal play - you'll come across various squads in the world; let them battle each other and then kill the winning team. See the video though for one particular place in the Warlock Debtors side mission where this can be reliably gotten.
How to get the Proxy achievement
Pump it up
RareFully enhance any type of weapon. Somewhere out there, a Zone technician just shed a tear of pride.
Apply all available upgrades to a weapon. This can be done at any technician... ...provided you have the coupons.
You'll want to be scavenging as many coupons as possible anyway, and upgrading your gear for better survivabillity - and spending on weapon upgrades also counts towards Coupons to burn
Run, stalker, run!
LegendaryThat Chimera made you run like an Olympic champion!
The Chimera is a rare spawn only in certain locations - see the linked map and search for Chimera. The Chimera is fast, can jump a long way, and can knock you down easily. Bring an energy drink. As soon as you spot one, run away as fast as you can and the achievement should pop once you've escaped.
NB its possible (not confirmed yet) that taking damage can invalidate the achievement - try not to get hurt!
Scanning complete
LegendaryYou were out looking for a scanner, but ended up collecting them all.
She will never be free
LegendaryStrelok went into the pod to protect her. Always.
Stalker's smarts
LegendaryFind a way to get the parts without sneaking into the warehouse.
In "The Side Hastle" side-mission given by the technician at Icarus in the Zaton region, go to the warehouse but don't enter it. Instead go to the farthest away open train cart and push one of the nearby crates to the window so you can jump and reach the parts case from the outside - or just shoot the explosives behind the container and the parts will fall out.
Such is the will of the Monolith
LegendaryKill Faust.
Taking it for granted
RareGear broken beyond repair. Don't forget to pay regular visits to the technician.
You have to let a piece of equipment break. This can be a weapon (by firing it), or armor (by damaging it, e.g. by repeatedly walking into anomalies and healing yourself afterwards).
The four winds
LegendaryUnlock the whole map. Few folks know the Zone this well.
Just explore everywhere - this will largely come naturally through regular play. See the linked map for a full map to cross-reference vs where you've been (filter for "Location" points).
Was glitched until patch 1.1, released 19th Dec 2024.
The good ol' days
LegendaryHelp Skadovsk get its name and rightful owners back.
In the Zaton region, complete quests for Sultan and Beard, then accept the "Three Captains" side quest from Sonya Kalyna.
Do *not* kill the targets - instead talk with them and then help defend agains the mercenaries. Talk with them again afterwards and the achievement is yours.
The good, the bad and the ugly
Rare5 headshots in 10 seconds. Good eye.
Do what it says on the tin. This is easiest in close quarters, e.g. a building with >=5 enemies in it.
The Prypiat guardian
LegendaryMeet Degtyarev in Prypiat. The toughest place in the Zone has the toughest-looking watchman.
Tit for tat
LegendarySidorovich's worst nightmare: buy and sell goods for the exact same amount of coupons in one deal.
This is quite easy; trading with vendors works in the same way as many games. Simply select some items to buy, and some items to sell, such that they amount to the same value and no coupons change hands when you confirm the deal. This can be done with one piece of ammo and one piece of equipment, for example.
Today never ends
LegendaryScar went into the pod to rid the Zone of darkness.
Wardens drool
LegendarySave a bandit's life, get on the Ward's naughty list. Was it worth it?
During the story mission "A Needle in a Haystack" you must give the sensors to Zotov in Zalissya to enable the quest path that leads to this objective.
Later, in "Answers Come at a Price", when talking to Korshunov, tell him you want to talk to Chornozem to get him to delay a bandit camp assault. Then, go to where the captive bandit is being held and kill the guards outside (i.e. don't interrogate the bandit).
There are no known consequences (yet) for taking this path.
Welcome to the Zone
CommonPrologue complete, but this is so far from over.
Probably one of the first achievements you'll get - after completing the intro mission. This can't be missed.
Wiped out
LegendaryKill a Rodent using a grenade launcher. A good wipe-out makes the Duty proud.
Would you like some toast?
RareMeet Scar.
Your move!
RareFound a unique weapon designed for a kingpin. Checkmate!
Complete the "No Honor Among Thieves" side-mission in the Garbage region and choose to spare Docent - this gives you the coordinates to a stash witht the unique weapon in it.
Zone's deadliest predator
LegendaryKill a mutant of every kind. You'll need a bigger wall to fit all those trophies!
Note: kills in the prologue don't count. Neither does anything during cutscenes. For the Chimera, see also Run, stalker, run!
