Twelve Minutes
Achievement guide · roadmap · tracker
Twelve Minutes is a real-time top-down interactive thriller with an accessible click and drag interface. Featuring James McAvoy, Daisy Ridley, and Willem Dafoe. The game blends the dream-like tension of The Shining with the claustrophobia of Rear Window and the fragmented structure of Memento.
Twelve Minutes is a top-down interactive thriller: a man's evening with his wife is interrupted by a cop who accuses her of murder - and then the twelve minutes loop, over and over, until you learn enough to break the cycle. A tense, dialogue-heavy point-and-click starring the voices of James McAvoy, Daisy Ridley and Willem Dafoe.
The 12 achievements (all hidden) split into three things: ending choices, one-off loop actions, and three painting collectibles. The endings - Alone, Confessed, Coward, Mindfulness and Continue - branch from how you resolve the loop; Continue is the true, final ending, reached only after Mindfulness. Faun, Seasons and Ouroboros ask you to watch each of the three paintings (bedroom, living room, kitchen) change across loops - and despite its name, Ouroboros is a painting, not the finale. The rest are small, deliberate acts: water the plant, do nothing at all, or run one flawless "perfect day". Nothing is permanently missable - the loop always lets you try again.
Fluidity
UncommonWater the plant once.
Fill the cup at the sink, carry it to the bedroom and water the plant.
Alone
UncommonAll alone.
On the second meeting with the father, choose to leave the wife alone; the Alone ending unlocks automatically.
Continue
UncommonBlissful ignorance.
The true, final ending. On the Mindfulness path, at the very end drag the clock hand back to two minutes before 12 so the "Continue" option appears, then choose Continue.
Coward
RareNot my problem.
Sedate the wife, take the watch, hide in the closet, knock the cop out and handcuff him, then cooperate with his instructions.
Groundhog
RareThe perfect day.
Run a full "perfect" loop: learn the cop's motive, get the phone, make the call, prepare dessert with the wife, receive the baby-clothes gift, dance together, and let the day play out.
Confessed
RareI'll do it.
With the pocket watch in hand, get the wife onto the couch, tell her you killed her father, that it's your fault and you regret it, then confess to the cop that you'll turn yourself in.
Listen
RareLet it be.
Start a loop, enter the apartment, then do nothing at all - don't touch the controls and let the scene play out to the end.
Faun
RareThe Poster.
Inspect the bedroom painting across multiple loops until you've seen all three stages (the balcony couple with white flowers, then the woman recoiling, then the man alone with a monstrous shadow).
Mindfulness
RarePresent moment.
Complete the required beats (discuss the wife's book, reach the library at 11:58, check the clock at 12:00 and pick "I change my mind"), then choose to return to reality. This is the gateway to Continue.
Seasons
LegendaryThe Seasons.
Inspect the living-room painting (above the couch) across loops to see all four seasonal stages (green, autumn, stormy, winter).
Ouroboros
LegendaryThe Egg.
Inspect the egg painting to the right of the kitchen sink across loops until it becomes a snake eating its own tail. Despite the name, it's a painting collectible, not the ending.
Gardener
LegendaryWatch them bloom.
After reaching the Alone ending, keep watering the bedroom plant across separate loops until it grows all three flowers.
