Firewatch
Achievement guide · roadmap · tracker
Firewatch is Campo Santo's beautiful first-person wilderness mystery - a summer as fire lookout Henry in the 1989 Wyoming forest, radio in hand and your supervisor Delilah the only voice for miles. It's a story-driven walk with light exploration rather than combat or puzzles, and a short, easy 100%: the story is 4-6 hours, and the rest adds an hour or two, so most people finish everything well under 10 hours.
The five day-completion achievements ("Good first day.",
"Back to work.",
"Someone's out here.",
"Burn the place down.",
Firewatch) are pure unmissable story - you get them just by playing to the end. The real work is five small out-of-the-way interactions (
Bee Plot,
Love Turts,
Shutter Bug,
The Life and Times of Raccoon Carter,
Ol' Shoshone), each tied to a specific spot and, on a story run, a specific day. Firewatch gives you very little backtracking, so they're easy to walk past - but the standalone Free Roam mode lets you revisit the whole map with no clock and pick up anything you missed, so nothing is permanently lost.
Recommended: grab the interactions as you pass them on your story run (a guide open helps), then mop up anything left in Free Roam.

Bee Plot
CommonGot stung by a bee. It happens.
At the Wapiti Station gate: open the gate and, right in front of you, open the small "Wapiti" box on a pole - a bee flies out and stings you. Doable in the later story or any time in Free Roam.
Love Turts
CommonAdopted a turtle as a pet. The average lifespan of a box turtle is fifty years. It will outlive you.
In the Aspen Grove in the south of the map (reachable from Day 2 on), find a turtle sitting on a flat rock by the lake, near the tall pines to the north. Pick it up and hold the interact button to adopt it.
Shutter Bug
UncommonFilled a disposable camera with photos.
On Day 2, on the path toward cache 241 (after the downed line), knock down a backpack hanging in a tree to get the Old Disposable Camera. It holds 18 shots (one is already used, so 17 remain) - use up every exposure, anywhere and across as many days as you like, to fill it.
The Life and Times of Raccoon Carter
UncommonGot attacked by a raccoon; probably didn't get rabies.
From Day 76, head north toward Beartooth Point. Around halfway (between the Thorofare Trail and Telephone markers) the trail splits by a dilapidated outhouse; head east to a ruined cabin, go down to the basement and open the stove - a raccoon leaps out and attacks you.
Ol' Shoshone
RareListened to the tape of "Ol' Shoshone." Cavorted among the aspens.
Needs the axe (from Day 76), so earliest on Day 77. Head north toward Beartooth Point; at the first trail split (between Thorofare Trail and Telephone) go west, push aside the bushes and clear the tree roots with your axe to reveal a hidden tape. Listen to the "Ol' Shoshone" recording.
