Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is Starbreeze's wordless fable - you control two brothers at once (one on each stick) on a fairy-tale quest to save their dying father. A short, moving 3-hour journey.
All 12 achievements are optional world-interactions dotted through the linear story - none are needed to finish, but each is easy to walk straight past, so they're missable on a blind run (chapter select lets you clean them up afterwards). They're the little detours: sit on a bench, blacken a sheep, reunite two songbirds, blow a giant's horn. Follow them by chapter and none will slip by.
Call of the Giants
UncommonYou sounded a giant horn.
Chapter 5. Crossing the field of dead giants, near the giant crossbow take the left side path to a giant horn and interact to blow it.
Bunny Buddies
UncommonYou made the bunnies play nice.
Chapter 1, at the same firepit: three rabbits are black and one is white - drop the white rabbit in the firepit so they all match.
Turtle Soup
RareYou helped the turtles to the sea.
Chapter 6. After the boat, at the giant turtle on the ice, use both brothers to push the three small turtles down the slope into the water.
Wishing Well
RareYou threw someone's ball down a well… Shame on you.
Chapter 1, near the start. A girl plays with a ball on the right; use the little brother to take it, then throw it into the well on the left.
Windpipe
RareYou made the inventor dance.
Chapter 4, the inventor's house. At the pipe-organ machine, put the little brother on the rotating lever and the big brother on the horn; move the horn to the fifth hole while cranking until the tone plays and the inventor dances.
A Sad Tune
RareYou made someone feel better.
Chapter 4. Save the man trying to hang himself, then find the music box in the nearby burnt house and bring it to him to cheer him up.
Take a Break
RareYou took a break from adventuring.
Prologue. Guiding the cart down the trail, take the small side path to the beach and interact with the stones / bench to sit and rest.
Behind the Curtain
RareYou found a secret.
Chapter 6. While boating the river, steer behind the large blood-red waterfall on the left; a short cutscene plays.
Black Sheep
RareEvery family's got one.
Chapter 1. At the walking-wheel bridge, put the little brother in the wheel and cross with the big brother, then pick up a sheep and drop it in the firepit to blacken its fleece.
Whale Song
RareYou practised singing.
Chapter 6. Just after the turtle / ice-cave section, past the two-man saw, climb the ledge and sit both brothers on the bench overlooking the water; the whales perform.
Falling Star
RareMake a wish.
Chapter 3. At the cemetery near the chapter start, a statue is off to the right; interact with the little brother and wait a few seconds for a shooting star.
Love Birds
RareYou re-united the two love birds.
Two parts. In Chapter 1, free the caged singing bird beside the path. Then at the inventor's house (Chapter 4), use the telescope, aim to the lower-right rose bushes, zoom in on the lone bird and wait for the freed bird to join it.
