Palworld
Achievement guide · roadmap · tracker
Palworld is a multiplayer open-world survival game that combines creature-collecting with crafting, base-building, and combat. Set on the Palpagos Islands, players capture and tame animal-like creatures called Pals, which can be used as mounts, combat partners, or workers at player-built bases. The game incorporates firearms and darker satirical elements into the monster-taming formula.
The "Pokemon with guns" survival-crafter that ate the internet - and under the memes it's a genuinely huge, moreish open-world game. The list is long-ish at 57 but nothing's properly hard; it's mostly a time sink, so budget a good chunk of hours for the catch-em-all grind and the endgame raids.
Good news up front: it's an open sandbox, so nothing is permanently missable - you can always go back for anything. The 100% is really three lumps of work: the Tower Bosses, a stack of catch/craft grinds, and the summoned raid bosses.
The Tower Bosses
Seven paired boss fights dotted across the map, each giving a "Sovereign" achievement: Hillside Sovereign (Zoe & Grizzbolt) through to
Sovereign of the Feybreak Realm (Bjorn & Bastigor). Beat all of them, then clear 6 on Hard mode for
Champion of the Palpagos Islands. Come in over-levelled with a strong, type-advantaged Pal and plenty of healing.
The grinds - start these early, they stack over the whole run
- Catch everything.
Exceptional Pal Tamer wants 140 kinds;
Overhunting wants 1000 Pals total. Catch every new Pal you meet and keep churning through the world.
- Legendary Pals.
Legendary Celestial Dragon (Jetragon),
Legendary Steed of Ice (Frostallion),
Holy Knight of Legend (Paladius) and
Dark Knight of Legend (Necromus) - the field-boss legendaries. Whittle their HP low and spam your best spheres.
- Crafting.
Iron Heart (10,000 ingots),
Blood and Iron (20,000 ammo),
Sphere Craftsman (2000 spheres) - set up mass-production bases with the right work Pals and leave them running.
- Effigies.
Palpagos Guardian wants 300 Lifmunk Effigies - grab every one you pass; a collectibles map makes it painless.
The raids - endgame, and much easier in co-op
The summon-altar bosses: Twilight Siren /
Eclipsed Siren (Bellanoir),
Incarnation of the Eternal Flame (Blazamut Ryu),
Invader from Space (Xenolord) and
King of Salvation (Hartalis). Each needs slab fragments to craft a summon tablet, then a proper fight - bring your strongest Pals, stock ammo and healing, and rope in friends if you can, because solo is a slog.
Playable solo throughout, but co-op makes the raids and legendaries far quicker. Check each achievement's notes for the specifics.
Beginning of the Legend
CommonCaught first Pal
Your very first catch - lob a Pal Sphere at any weakened wild Pal in the opening minutes. Part of the tutorial, so you can't miss it.
Newbie Pal Tamer
CommonCaught 10 kinds of Pals
Ten different species (repeats don't count). Comes almost straight away - just chuck spheres at every new Pal you meet in the first hour.
Intermediate Pal Tamer
CommonCaught 20 kinds of Pals
Twenty different species. Keep catching one of everything new and you'll pass 20 within the first couple of hours. A new type is always worth more than re-catching one you've got.
Hillside Sovereign
CommonDefeated Zoe & Grizzbolt
The first Tower Boss - the Rayne Syndicate's Zoe & Grizzbolt, in the central grasslands. Grizzbolt is Electric, so a Ground Pal shrugs off its attacks. Keep moving, focus fire, and pack healing. Comfortable around level 15-20.
Skilled Pal Tamer
CommonCaught 50 kinds of Pals
Fifty species. Push out into the snow and desert biomes for fresh Pals and it ticks over naturally. Check your Paldeck for the gaps and go where those Pals spawn.
Snowfall Sovereign
CommonDefeated Lily & Lyleen
The Free Pal Alliance's Lily & Lyleen. Lyleen is Grass, so bring Fire Pals and weapons to melt it. Over-level a touch and keep your healing topped.
Seasoned Pal Tamer
CommonCaught 90 kinds of Pals
Ninety species. By now you're hunting specific gaps - work the Paldeck's missing entries and hit night-only and biome-specific spawns you've been skipping.
Volcano Sovereign
UncommonDefeated Axel & Orserk
Axel & Orserk of the Brothers of the Eternal Pyre. Orserk is Dragon/Electric, so Ice Pals wreck it. A later-game tower - come strong, with ammo and plenty of healing.
Inhuman Act
UncommonCaught a Human
Yes, you can catch people. Weaken any human NPC - a syndicate grunt works fine - then throw a Pal Sphere at them exactly like you would a Pal. Cheeky, and it counts. (Careful, it turns the rest hostile.)
Desert Sovereign
UncommonDefeated Marcus & Faleris
Marcus & Faleris (PIDF). Faleris is a Fire phoenix, so Water Pals counter it hard. Keep your distance, dodge its dives and burst it down.
Freshman Surveyor
UncommonFound 10 new areas
Discover 10 areas - you tick these off just by touching the big Fast Travel statues and rolling into dungeons and points of interest. Comes in the first hour or two of wandering.
Astral Sovereign
UncommonDefeated Victor & Shadowbeak
Victor & Shadowbeak (PAL Genetic Research) - the toughest of the base-game towers. Shadowbeak is Dark, so Dragon Pals hit hardest. Bring your best endgame Pals, strong guns and a big healing stack.
Legendary Celestial Dragon
UncommonCaught a Jetragon
Catch Jetragon, the legendary dragon field boss out in the far south-western volcanic desert. It's fast and hits like a truck - snipe from range, get its HP into the red, then spam Ultra/Legendary spheres. An Ice Pal helps, and bring a big stack of spheres.
Conqueror of the Sea
UncommonSeized the Oil Rig
Seize the Oil Rig - the big PIDF sea fortress off the coast, and a proper endgame assault: high-level guards, turrets and the No Fly Zone Attack Chopper. Come geared with strong ranged weapons, a flying mount and plenty of healing, clear it out and claim it.
Rookie Pal Slayer
UncommonObtained 5 Pal Bounty Tokens
You get a Bounty Token the first time you beat or catch each Alpha Pal - the big field-boss Pals with a red name marker. Just take down 5 different Alphas as you explore (they're dotted all over the map) and you've got five tokens.
Iron Heart
RareCrafted 10,000 ingots
Craft 10,000 ingots. Set up a dedicated smelting base - a row of furnaces, Kindling Pals to fire them, and a steady ore supply from mining Pals - and leave it churning while you get on with other things. Ore-rich spots plus a Digtoise make the mining side painless.
Legendary Steed of Ice
RareCaught a Frostallion
Catch Frostallion, the ice legendary roaming the far northern snowfield. Use Fire Pals and weapons to melt its huge HP bar down, then throw high-tier spheres once it's low. Wrap up warm - the area chips away at you with cold damage.
Junior Surveyor
RareFound 30 new areas
30 discovered areas. Keep touching every Fast Travel statue and landmark as you roam - branch off the roads rather than beelining and it rolls in.
Twilight Siren
RareDefeated a summoned Bellanoir
The first summon-altar raid. Craft a summoning tablet from Bellanoir Slab Fragments (dungeon chests), place it on a Summoning Altar and take the fight. It's a Dark boss with a big HP pool that chews through your Pals, so bring several strong ones, stock ammo and healing - and it's dramatically easier with a co-op team.
Holy Knight of Legend
RareCaught a Paladius
Catch Paladius, one of the two legendary knights. It appears as a linked field-boss pair with Dark Knight of Legend (Necromus). Chip its HP right down and spam Legendary spheres. Dragon Pals do good work here.
Dark Knight of Legend
RareCaught a Necromus
Catch Necromus, the dark counterpart to Holy Knight of Legend (Paladius) - they share a spawn as a paired field boss. Same drill: get it to low HP and throw your best spheres. It's Dark type, so Dragon Pals hit hard.
Overhunting
RareCaught 1000 Pals
1000 Pals caught in total - any species, repeats included. This piles up over a full playthrough, but if you're short, park at a dense spawn near your base and just keep chucking spheres at weak Pals. Cheap Mega/Giga spheres are fine for the filler.
Alpha Pal Slayer
RareObtained 20 Pal Bounty Tokens
20 Bounty Tokens - so first-time kills/catches on 20 different Alpha Pals. There are plenty across the islands, so this ticks up as you clear the map hunting Pals and Effigies; keep a mental checklist of which Alphas you've already done, since only the first counts.
Exceptional Pal Tamer
RareCaught 140 kinds of Pals
140 species - effectively catch-'em-all and the big Paldeck grind. Tick off missing entries methodically, chase night-only and region-locked spawns, and remember the tower and raid bosses count as Paldeck entries too, so catch their human/Pal halves where you can.
Blossom Sovereign
RareDefeated Saya & Selyne
Saya & Selyne, a Feybreak-update tower boss. Come endgame-geared - maxed Pals, plenty of ammo and healing - and lean on Selyne's type weakness. A real step up from the base towers.
Predator Hunter
RareDefeated a Rampaging Alpha Pal
Beat a Rampaging Alpha Pal - the special buffed, red-aura Alphas that show up as roaming threats. They hit far harder than a normal Alpha, so come properly geared with a type-advantaged Pal, good weapons and healing.
Pal Labor Student
RareCompleted 10 Pal Labor Research projects
Complete 10 Pal Labor Research projects at the research facility. Assign the resources each project needs and let it finish - it's a background task, so keep the next one queued as soon as one completes.
Successful Infiltration
RareCleared 1 enemy faction base
Clear one enemy faction base - the syndicate camps marked on the map. Fight your way in, wipe the human guards and their Pals, and it counts once the camp's cleared. A decent gun and a combat Pal is all you need for an early one.
All for One
RareMaximized the rank of a Pal
Raise one Pal to max rank at the Statue of Power using Pal Souls (Small/Medium/Large/Giant, dropped by Alphas, dungeons and world chests). Pour them all into a single favourite Pal to cap its rank bar.
Eclipsed Siren
RareDefeated a summoned Bellanoir Libero
The nastier version of Twilight Siren - Bellanoir Libero, summoned the same way with a higher-tier tablet. Same Dark boss, far beefier, so bring your best endgame Pals and gear and ideally a full co-op group.
Senior Surveyor
RareFound 70 new areas
70 areas - basically map most of the islands. Make a point of grabbing every Fast Travel statue in each biome; it pairs nicely with your Effigy and Pal-catching sweeps.
Novice Pal Dispatcher
RareUndertook 10 Pal Expeditions
Send Pals out on 10 Expeditions - the timed away-missions you set up from the Expedition facility at your base. Assign idle Pals, start the mission, collect when the timer's done. It's a pure idle grind, so keep dispatching whenever Pals are spare.
Sphere Craftsman
RareCrafted 2000 spheres
Craft 2000 Pal Spheres. You'll make loads just playing, but to top it off set a production line making basic spheres (Paldium Fragments, wood, stone) with crafting Pals assigned and leave it running. It also feeds your Overhunting sphere-chucking.
Incarnation of the Eternal Flame
RareSummoned and defeated a Blazamut Ryu
Summon and beat Blazamut Ryu, a Sakurajima raid boss. Gather its slab fragments, craft the tablet, summon at the altar. It's got a huge HP bar and hits like a freight train - Water Pals help against the fire, and co-op makes it far quicker.
Senior Adventurer
RareCleared 20 dungeons
Clear 20 dungeons - the cave entrances that appear around the map (their locations rotate). Each is a short run to a boss and a reward chest. Clear them as you find them; they refresh, so you can re-run the same spots if you're short.
Sovereign of the Feybreak Realm
RareDefeated Bjorn & Bastigor
Bjorn & Bastigor, the Feybreak tower boss and one of the hardest fights in the game. You want fully kitted endgame gear, maxed type-advantaged Pals, max healing and a bit of patience. Co-op helps a lot.
Pal Labor Researcher
RareCompleted 30 Pal Labor Research projects
30 Pal Labor Research projects - just keep Pal Labor Student rolling. Never leave the research bench idle and it stacks up over the run.
Voice of Resentment
LegendaryMaximized the rank of 5 Pals
Max the rank of 5 different Pals at the Statue of Power - see All for One. A big Pal Soul sink, so hoard souls from Alphas and dungeon chests and rank up five keepers over the run.
Elite Pal Dispatcher
LegendaryUndertook 20 Pal Expeditions
20 Expeditions - just keep Novice Pal Dispatcher going. Always have a mission running and it ticks over easily across a full playthrough.
Best Friends Forever
LegendaryReached Trust level 10 with a Pal
Reach Trust level 10 with a single Pal - the bond that builds as you keep it with you and interact (feeding, patting, working and battling together). Favour one Pal throughout and its Trust climbs to 10 on its own.
Blood and Iron
LegendaryCrafted 20,000 ammo
Craft 20,000 rounds of ammo - a big background grind. Build out production-line assembly benches with high-work-suitability Pals assigned, keep the mats flowing (ingots and gunpowder), and queue huge batches. Feeds Iron Heart demand too, so run your ingot base alongside it.
Novice Angler
LegendaryReeled in 10 Pals
Reel in 10 Pals by fishing. Craft a fishing rod, find a fishing spot (the ripples on the water), cast and reel in the Pals that bite. Ten comes quickly once you've got a rod.
Lunker Hunter
LegendaryReeled in 1 Lunker
Reel in a Lunker - the rare big-catch that occasionally bites at fishing spots. It's a luck-and-patience thing rather than a skill check, so just keep fishing (ideally while grinding Veteran Angler) and one'll hook eventually.
Palpagos Guru
LegendaryObtained 255 Lifmunk Effigies
Collect 255 Lifmunk Effigies - the little green statues scattered across the map (they boost your Pal catch rate at the Statue of Power). Grab every one you pass; with this many, a collectibles map is the sane way to hit the number.
Invader from Space
LegendarySummoned and defeated a Xenolord
Summon and beat Xenolord, the Feybreak endgame raid boss (the literal invader from space). Craft its tablet from Feybreak slab fragments and summon at the altar. One of the hardest fights going - fully maxed Pals and gear, max healing, and a co-op team if you can rope one in.
Silver Champ
LegendaryReached Silver Rank in the Arena
Reach Silver Rank in the Arena - win Pal battles in Arena mode to climb the rank ladder. Silver is a lower tier, so a handful of wins with a solid, type-balanced team of decent-level Pals gets you there.
A Nose for Treasure
LegendaryFound 5 treasures with Treasure Maps
Dig up 5 treasures using Treasure Maps. A Treasure Map is an item you obtain from chests and drops; each marks a buried-treasure spot - head there and dig it up. Repeat until you've cashed in five.
Seasoned Angler
LegendaryReeled in 30 Pals
30 Pals reeled in - just keep fishing. A relaxed grind; park at a good spot and work through it while you're sorting other base jobs.
Pal Labor Professor
LegendaryCompleted 70 Pal Labor Research projects
70 projects - the full Pal Labor Research grind. A long-haul background job, so start early, keep resources flowing to it and always have the next project running.
Champion of the Palpagos Islands
LegendaryDefeated 6 tower bosses in hard mode
Beat any 6 Tower Bosses on Hard mode, which cranks their level and HP right up - very much an endgame job. Bring maxed, type-advantaged Pals, top-tier weapons and ammo, and a fat stack of healing. Co-op makes it far more manageable.
Palpagos Guardian
LegendaryObtained 300 Lifmunk Effigies
300 Lifmunk Effigies - essentially all of them. Sweep the map biome by biome with a collectibles map open. Pairs naturally with your Senior Surveyor exploration and Alpha hunting.
Veteran Angler
LegendaryReeled in 50 Pals
50 reeled in - the top fishing milestone. Nothing tricky, just time at the water. Do it alongside Lunker Hunter so the hours count double.
No Fly Zone
LegendaryDefeated Attack Chopper
Down the PIDF Attack Chopper (it shows up around the Oil Rig and certain faction bases). It's an aerial target, so bring a strong ranged weapon - a rocket launcher or a solid assault rifle - and a flying mount to keep pace, and burst it before it grinds you down.
Unstoppable Streak
LegendaryCleared 10 enemy faction bases
Clear 10 faction bases - Successful Infiltration ten times over. Work through the syndicate camps as you explore; they repopulate over time, so if you're short you can revisit cleared ones. Comes naturally by endgame.
Trail of the Castaway
LegendaryObtained 40 Notes
Collect 40 Notes - the scattered lore documents/journal pages found in dungeons, chests and points of interest. Pick up every note you come across as you explore; a collectibles map helps track down the last few.
Arena Champion
LegendaryReached Master Rank in the Arena
Reach Master Rank in the Arena - the top tier. Keep winning your way up the ladder; near the top you'll want a strong, well-rounded team of high-level, maxed Pals to beat the tougher opponents.
King of Salvation
LegendaryDefeated a summoned Hartalis
Summon and beat Hartalis. Collect 4 Hartalis Slab Fragments (Sakurajima chests and Feybreak dungeons) to craft one tablet, place it on the altar and fight. An endgame raid, so bring maxed Pals, ammo and healing - co-op strongly advised.
