Tediore weapons are the ones that get thrown as the reload action; i.e. every time you reload your character will throw the weapon.
Kill a flying enemy doing this - this is easiest on a Rakk, as they charge toward you. Try right near the beginning of the game in Southern Shelf.
Tediore weapons can be obtained from random loot drops - or buying them. It won't be hard to come across some as you play through the game, whether you like their style or not.
