Journey is thatgamecompany's wordless pilgrimage: a robed traveller crosses a vast desert toward a distant mountain, occasionally joined by an anonymous online stranger you can only speak to in song. Short (about 2 hours), beautiful and endlessly replayable.
Most achievements are optional feats and collectathons gathered across one or more playthroughs - nothing is permanently missable (chapters replay and collectibles carry over), and only Rebirth (finish the game) is automatic. Four need other players via the anonymous online co-op: Crossing, Companion and Reflection (reach the summit / stay with one partner / meditate together), and Wonder (meet 10 travellers). The big collectathons are the 21 glowing symbols (Transcendence, which also grants the white robe) and the 10 ancient glyphs (History). Return is time-gated - come back after a week away.
Rebirth
CommonFinish the game and return to the beginning.
Reach the summit and complete the game - unlocks automatically after the ending.
Trials
CommonSneak through the underground passage without tearing your scarf.
In the Underground Passage (Chapter 5), get past the stone guardians without being caught - hide behind cover and move only when their searchlight faces away, so your scarf is never torn.
Crossing
UncommonReach the summit with a companion and return to the beginning.
Do the final Summit / snow section paired with another online player and finish it together. Requires the anonymous online co-op.
Companion
RareFinish the game with the same partner for the majority of the journey and return to the beginning.
Stay with one online companion for most of the game (ideally from the Underground Passage onward) without swapping partners. Requires online co-op - if you drift apart, you can lose it.
Wonder
RareMeet 10 or more unique travelers.
Encounter 10 or more different online travellers - cumulative across separate journeys, so it comes naturally with online play.
Mirage
RareFind the hidden desert flower.
In the Desert (Chapter 3), find the hidden flower tucked in a valley - follow the secondary light beam back toward the start of the level.
Explore
RareDiscover all cloth creatures in the desert.
In the Desert (Chapter 3), free every cloth creature, including those trapped in the structure at the end; it pops as the chapter closes. Use a collectible guide so you don't leave any behind.
Reflection
RareSit and meditate with another player for more than 20 seconds.
Sit and meditate (hold the sit input) alongside another online player and stay seated together for 20 seconds or more. Requires online co-op.
Ancestors
RareFind a mysterious creature hidden in the temple.
In the Temple (Chapter 6), after it floods, find the hidden creature - explore the submerged and side areas.
Transcendence
RareCollect all unique glowing symbols across one or more journeys.
Collect all 21 unique glowing symbols (the glyphs that extend your scarf). They carry over across runs, and all 21 also grants the white robe.
Return
RareStart the journey again after a week long break.
Don't launch the game for at least a week, then start a new journey - purely time-gated.
Threshold
RareCross the broken bridge without completely rebuilding it.
In the Broken Bridge (Chapter 2), build up enough scarf and flight (grab the early symbols and the ribbons on the cliffs for extra height) to fly across the gap instead of fully rebuilding the bridge.
History
RareUncover all 10 ancient glyphs.
Find all 10 ancient wall murals / glyphs (distinct from the glowing symbols) across the chapters, from the intro through to the summit.
Adventure
LegendaryPass through 15 gates while surfing through the sunken city.
In the Sunken City (Chapter 4), during the sand / light surfing sequences, pass through at least 15 gate arches.
